FAA Grants Dynamic Aviation STC for Boeing 737 Spill Response Fleet, Protecting $11 Trillion in U.S. Coastal Economy
BRIDGEWATER, VA – September 3, 2025 – The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted Dynamic Aviation a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for a modified Boeing 737 fleet designed to transform oil spill response. This certification establishes the platform as a proven, ready-to-deploy solution to protect trillions of dollars in economic activity and millions of livelihoods that depend on healthy coastlines.
Oil spills are not isolated events—they ripple across economies, food systems, and families for years. America’s coastal shoreline counties generate $11 trillion in GDP and support 56.2 million jobs, powered by industries such as tourism, fishing, and shipping. The marine economy alone contributes $511 billion annually and sustains 2.6 million jobs.
Each day, nearly 18 million barrels of petroleum move through U.S. waters, threatening the 95,000 miles of shoreline that communities call home. When spills occur, every hour matters.
Equipped with advanced dispersant systems, each aircraft can treat vast areas during the narrow window that determines long-term impact.
