Prominent Defense Community Leaders Join Dynamic Aviation Advisory Board
Former high-ranking military leaders provide strategic insight to support leading aviation solutions company’s continued growth in ISR, airborne data acquisition
Bridgewater, Va., Nov. 30, 2010 — Dynamic Aviation, a leading provider of innovative aviation solutions to government and commercial organizations worldwide, announced today it has welcomed retired Gen. William Hobbins, retired Lt. Gen. Thomas Metz and retired Vice Adm. Jerry Tuttle, USN, to its advisory board.
“We are incredibly fortunate and honored to have these remarkable leaders join us as trusted, strategic advisors,” said Michael Stoltzfus, president and CEO of Dynamic Aviation. “Their extensive insight into the defense community and their unique understanding of the important role aviation solutions can play across the spectrum of defense and intelligence organizations — especially in the area of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance — are critical to our ability to serve our customers well.”
Hobbins has more than 38 years experience with the U.S. Air Force. As a retired four-star general, he has helped guide the development of NATO’s C4ISR and Unmanned Aerial Systems Roadmaps. Hobbins has commanded a numbered air force, two tactical fighter wings and a composite air group. He has served as the director of plans and operations for U.S. Forces Japan, the director of plans and policy for the U.S. Atlantic Command, the director of operations for U.S. Air Forces in Europe and a deputy chief of staff at U.S. Air Force headquarters.
Metz has served in a series of positions of increased responsibility throughout a distinguished career as a leader and trainer of soldiers from Europe to Korea, Iraq and the United States. Metz’s final assignment was as the director of the Joint IED Defeat Organization (JIEDDO), where the mission was to defeat the improvised explosive device as a weapon of strategic influence in support of all the U.S. Combatant Commands.
Before founding his own consulting firm, J.O.T. Enterprises LLC, Tuttle began his 40-year career as a seaman recruit in the U.S. Navy. While director of space and electronic warfare, he was regarded as a top information technology strategist. In this role, Tuttle led the creation of the Navy’s C4I architecture, Copernicus, and Information Warfare architecture, Sonata, as well as the C4I Joint Operations Tactical System. Tuttle commanded the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy and has more than 1,000 carrier landings.
Dynamic Aviation’s advisory board was established in 2005 to help the company identify opportunities for expanding its support of civilian and military government organizations.
